Pix Brix also makes sets of famous works of art like Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night or Edvard Munch's The Scream. There's even a build-your-own Bob Ross set too!
My kid has been playing with these a lot! One thing to note is that assembling the tiny pieces takes quite a bit of dexterity. They're certainly easier on younger hands (but not too young), but mine were cramping after a while.
Promising review: "Provided fun family time for me and my 12-year-old nephew to build something together. It was nice doing something other than playing video games with him. I followed up weeks later, and he said he was working on building something else, so he's still using it! Fantastic Christmas gift, I'd say!" —Jasmine

Promising review: "I had one of these growing up, so of course, I had to get one for my kids also. It brings back all the nostalgia of when I was young. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and fun to play! My kids also enjoyed it, and as a family, we all tried to get the highest score. I like that it saves the highest score, so you always know what your new goal should be. Lots of fun." —Rin07

Promising review: "I had to work on this together with my son because some steps are difficult for a kid. But the instructions in the manual are nice and clear, which makes the task easier. We have together joined the pieces and made it into the Wall-E-type character so far, and my son has had a blast with it. He's already inquisitive about what other things he can make out of this. This is my son's first solar-powered toy, so seeing him understand the concepts of solar energy transform into kinetic, robotics, assembling things together, is rewarding." —David Boido

This is a toy we leave out at all times and fill with just a little bit of water every day. Without fail, someone (a child or adult) will take a minute or two to sit down and swipe with the brush. Relaxing. Calming. Creative. Who could ask for more?
Promising review: "Amazing item! All children should learn the skill of letting go from an early age. The lesson is valuable and extremely profound! The earlier one learns, the better! Thank you for creating such a deep tool to continuously practice the art... so grateful!" —Answers

Promising reviews: "So many cool little features. And as a family of ham radio operators, we were all impressed with the quality, reception, and clarity." —AC
"I gave the walkie-talkies to my nephew for Christmas. It was his favorite present. He gave the other to the neighbor down the street, and the sound quality was spectacular. They could talk from inside their homes very clearly and with little feedback. He was so pumped." —KIKI

Popdarts is a small business owned and operated by two brothers who created this game to "bring friends and family of all ages together, fuel creativity, and challenge their abilities."
Promising review: "I recently came across a video of Popdarts on social media and immediately had to get myself a set. I noticed there’s multiple game sets like this on Amazon, but it’s VERY clear these are the REAL Popdarts and any other ones are fake copycats. Throwing them takes some getting used to, just like any throwing game would, so don’t get discouraged if they don’t stick the first several times! I even found that they have tutorial videos on how to throw. The quality is amazing, and they stick VERY well. I was even able to pick up a barstool with one stuck to it! 10/10 I will be buying more as they come out with expansion packs and other colors, and I will be telling all my friends about this game!" —Hannah Marie

Promising reviews: "I love 3D puzzles and have done a few in the past and was really excited when I saw this one. You do have to be careful with any 3D puzzle because it's easy to break off tabs or bend pieces. I definitely wouldn't get this for a young child, but it would make a great gift for pre-teens and up. The instructions are very clear, and it's easy to assemble and take apart for storage!" —alexismu97

"My son loved this 3D puzzle set. He is a big Godzilla fan, and he loves recreating scenes from the movie. They really hold up. Pretty good quality. Great value for the money, and my son absolutely loved them." —Leticia Rdz.

Promising review: "We tried this game for the first time at a work party, with eight adults spanning four decades in age. Needless to say, the ensuing play was hilariously funny and after playing six rounds of the game we were coming up with crazy ideas as to how we could turn it into an all-day office game or even take it outside and play across larger distances. Other reviews have called the game 'immature as heck,' but our group found it to be completely hilarious and appropriate for all ages." —Marcus K.

For however old the kids are when they learn to play chess (I, for example, was several decades old).
Promising review: "My son and husband use this daily. It is such a fun way of playing chess. And it looks nice hanging on the wall too! It is a fun way for a kid and parent to play chess because they can play the game in passing...it is easy and convenient." —Christy
"Love everything about this set. Chess set as art. But I make the opening move, and when my husband comes home, he takes his move back and forth over as many days as it takes. The little blue marker magnet gets moved to indicate whose move is next. Easy to hang. Very nice board surface. Pieces are nice quality." —Maria at Read a Damn Book

For whatever age you can trust your kid with those drumsticks!
Promising review: "Son is in love, I am in love because it is rechargeable (no constant replacement of batteries), takes up minimal space (literally just able to roll it up and store), and my personal favorite...headphone jack. We had drum sets in the past. The noise got annoying quickly. With this drum set, my son can plug in his headphones and listen to what he is playing without the whole house being forced to listen to it. Recommend!" —Coastal Maine

Promising review: "This was a perfect game for my three young kids. My 7-year-old has mastered the traditional Connect 4 game and would always 'beat' my 5-year-old daughter. This evens the playing field so that even my 3-year-old can play and win. By making it a mix of strategy and luck, the kids love playing together again, and the younger ones enjoy actually getting a chance to win against their older brother. The pieces are a tad tricky to snap in for little fingers but we compensate for that by having them point to where they want you to and big brother snaps them in so they can spin. Highly recommend!" —TraTraRN

For all ages (but 3+ is a better bet). Battery not included.
Promising review: "Great straightforward design, lightweight, sensitive, adjustable length, easy to use right off the bat for both a 5-year-old and an adult. Have a 9V battery handy. Successfully searched through gravel, sand, weeds, and soil to locate old rusty screws and nails, random bits of metal, coins, and even a buried iron barbell weight, much to the delight of the 5-year-old." —Matt and Kate
"Purchased for my 6-year-old grandson. It is his first detector. It is lightweight, and most importantly, it works! My son took him around their yard. Decades ago, it was a farm for Clydesdales. They hit a nice find. My son said the finds were not very deep. But this is not a high-end device. So manage your expectations and enjoy spending time through the eyes of a 6-year-old." —Cesaw

You know when your brain tells you, "This might be a bad idea!" but your gut tells you, "Nah, this is going to be hilarious! Maybe." Luckily, my gut was right this time. Silly Poopy is beyond silly and not poopy at all. It is indeed a poop-ton of fun for the whole family thanks to its infectious song that sounds like it was taken straight from a 1970s game show. Best of all, my kids love it, and hopefully, this is the only poop they try to hide around the house.

Promising review: "I bought this for a family BBQ and was not disappointed. The set was easy to put together and, once assembled, was very sturdy. I was surprised; the bolas were actual golf balls. I keep them outside year-round, and the only issue I have had is that the color on the plastic fades after a summer in the Florida sun." —Inver Brass
"We are big-time ladder ball fans during the summer. We purchased this set and are very pleased with the quality! The set came in a very nice storage bag with easy-to-follow instructions. My kids have been playing for a week straight!" —jackie073082

Follow the directions given, and you will have a bunch of well-filled balloons ready for fun times in under 60 seconds. Can you fill them up faster? Probably. But just do as the packaging says and take your time; you won't be disappointed." —Mr. H

Promising review: "This has quickly become a family favorite! I would call it a mix between sudoku and dominoes, where you have to match colors and/or shapes without repeating any color or shape in a row. If you're lucky enough to get all six of either a shape or color in one turn, you get the maximum points which are called a 'Qwirkle.' There is a lot of strategy involved, and you have to look in all directions to make sure you are getting the most points possible. There are six shapes and six colors, with three of every tile, so the possibilities are endless! It takes about 20-30 minutes to play depending on how fast or slow some of the players are, so it doesn't take forever." —FlipFlopsForever

We play this game with two players, and it is lots of fun and can take about 45 minutes to an hour and a half to play. Lots of little pieces to play with and a really nice board. Promising review: "When I first saw this pen, I didn't believe it would work, but I forced myself to try it, and I LOVE IT! I am an art teacher, and I decided to let some of my kids try this just for fun, and they really enjoyed it." —Noureen Chranya
"Purchased for my younger brother (10-year-old). He loves to 3D print items but is impatient when it comes to some prints with the larger 3D printer. I was skeptical to buy it due to seeing reviews saying it gets jammed very easily. I have come to the conclusion that it is operator error in most of those cases. When using a 3D printing pen, you always have to FULLY retract the filament being used when you are done printing. If not, this causes jams. We have had no issues. We print at about medium speed, and of course, practice makes perfect. I have noticed if you lower the temp the filament doesn’t come out as fast, so it makes controlling it while printing much easier. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t print perfectly right away!! It’s a great product, and I would definitely recommend it. He has made all types of signs and light poles for his Lego city already!" —Angelica Ginesi

Promising review: "If you have any sort of humor in your blood, this is the family game for you. We ordered this game before we left for spring break so we could play when we needed a break from the beach/pool. It did not disappoint in the least. My kids, along with my nieces and nephews (ranging from 6-16) were laughing uncontrollably the entire time. The phrase possibilities are as creative and funny as you can make them. I think my 8-year-old had the best time. He literally said the next morning after our first night of playing that his stomach was sore. If you’re one of those parents who get offended easily, you should definitely get this game and learn to loosen up a bit. We need to be able to laugh, especially nowadays. And if we can’t do that with our kids, then who can you do that with? Great game, and will be recommending it to all of my friends." —Chris

This is definitely one of those toys that fall into the "kidult" category, meaning that it's fun for all ages but maybe a little more fun for the adults. But fun is fun, and boy howdy, this talking Knight Industries Two Thousand (voiced by Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World) is a ton of fun. Plus, let's not overlook the fact that you get an actual David Hasselhoff action figure! Listen, this isn't going to get your kids to watch Knight Rider (leave the memory alone) but make sure to play the theme song for them because it is still, to this day, a banger!

Promising review: "After reviewing some of the super expensive ones and the cheap ones, I opted for this set. I think the quality is on par with the price. The plastic end caps are a must-have to protect the mallets when letting younger kids play ;) It was easy to screw the mallet head and shaft together. Being able to throw them in a bag fully assembled makes life easy. I did have one mallet that was missing a plastic end-cap. Instead of returning the whole thing, knowing it was likely going to get thrown out over something so minor, I contacted the seller, who was able to help. So extra points for the seller’s customer service!" —Austin

Promising review: "Codenames really is genius in its simplicity. It's a fantastic party game because it can be taught in under five minutes and provides a ton of fun. It has definitely been a hit in my gaming group and with my family over the holidays. Two players are chosen as the ones giving the rest of their team clues while the rest desperately try to make sense of what they are talking about. A 5-by-5 grid of word cards is laid out, and then using a key card that shows what words are for each team and which ones are bystanders or an assassin, the clue givers take turns saying a clue word and a number which indicates how many of their team words are related to the clue. The team guesses, and the clue-giver places a token on their guesses corresponding to the red team, blue team, bystander, or assassin. The first team to cover all their words wins, though guessing the assassin automatically makes you lose. The game is surprisingly simple, but provides hours of entertainment, especially as everyone laughs over the connections that everyone makes." —Kccayson

Promising review: "Bought this as a Christmas gift for our 8-year-old and 11-year-old nieces. Their mom loves it just as much as they do! Super easy to use, great sound, excellent quality. It's so easy to bring places. They brought it to a New Year's Eve party, and it was a hit with everyone there, kids and adults alike. Very happy with this purchase!" —Aaron Bryant
"My daughters are always singing and using random things as microphones, so I decided to get my daughter this for Christmas. It's easy enough for my 5-year-old to use, and change all the settings to make it sound different. It was super easy to connect to my phone from Bluetooth, so we could play music they could sing to. The lights are pretty bright. The charge lasts quite a while, they've used it non-stop since Christmas morning, and we just had to charge it last night for the first time. Don't be fooled by the price; this is a great little device." —Kelly Roy

Promising review: "My kids were introduced to Perler beads at school, and they both fell in love with them. I purchased this kit as an indoor summer activity for them, and it has kept my 7-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter occupied for three days. They have both completed one to three projects per day without being prompted. This is a complete kit with pegboards, instruction diagram sheets for the designs, and plenty of beads to make many projects. Ironing paper is also included with a set. After the kids set the beads on the board, you cover them with the ironing paper and iron on medium heat for approximately 20–25 seconds until the beads melt together. The instructions say to iron both sides, but my kids prefer only one side because that is how their art teacher did things at school. They have already asked me to purchase additional sets." —Asbe25

They are very easy to assemble and fantastic for the price. Don't listen to people complaining about the height or controllers, I'm a 6'3" dude and I have no trouble playing.
